Collegiate DECA’s Challenges provide members opportunities to demonstrate the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom through innovative challenges in partnership with several corporate partners. Each challenge has a unique focus and specific set of required tasks.

The Collegiate DECA Leadership Passport Program encourages individual members, chapters and associations to plan activities and participate in events that enhance the experiences of members. The Leadership Passport Program rewards action taken by members, chapters and associations that build personal and professional skill sets focused around helping members be academically prepared, community oriented, professionally responsible and experienced leaders. Members, chapters and associations earning the various levels of passport success will be recognized at the International Career Development Conference.

Award Programs
Collegiate DECA recognizes its members and chapters through a variety of
recognition programs for distinguished achievement in academics,
leadership and community service.
Leadership Passport Program: By planning events and activities to further the experience of DECA members, focusing on the professional skill sets of: Competence, Innovation, Integrity, and Teamwork.
Academic Honor Award: Recognizes Collegiate DECA members for their academic excellence, leadership and involvement in Collegiate DECA.
Chapter Leadership Award: Designed to recognize members for their leadership on their campus and with their chapter. In addition, individual members are also eligible for this award based on efforts to establish a campus based chapter.
Community Service Award: Designed to recognize Collegiate DECA chapters for civic activities performed in their community. The activity may include any community service or civic activity the chapter completes during the current school year. In addition to campus-based chapters, individual members are also eligible for this award.
Corporate Scholarship program
The Don DeBolt scholarship provides two (2) $2,000 scholarships, awarded to DECA members who have an interest in pursuing franchising and entrepreneurship course of study.
Journeys is offering seven (7) scholarships of $1,000 each to DECA members who are leaders in
their peer groups and communities.
Marriott International provides five (5) $2,000 scholarships to DECA members who have hospitality
experience or interest.
NAPA provides five (5) $1,000 scholarships awarded to DECA members who are NAPA associates or have an interest in careers in the automotive industry. In addition, NAPA provides five (5) $1,500 scholarships to Collegiate DECA members who are enrolled in an Automotive Marketing and/or Aftermarket Management, Marketing, Sales, or Business Ownership / Entrepreneurship program.
NTHS (National Technical Honor Society) provides two (2) $1,000 scholarships awarded to DECA members who are also members of NTHS.
Otis Spunkmeyer provides ten (10) $1,000 scholarships awarded to DECA members who work in their
school stores and sell Otis Spunkmeyer products.
Publix provides five (5) $1,000 scholarships awarded to DECA/Collegiate DECA members who are associates of Publix.
Walgreens provides four (4) $1,000 scholarships awarded to DECA/Collegiate DECA members who can show evidence of DECA activities, leadership ability, community involvement.
